Enjoy a holistic outdoors experience in the San Juan Islands aboard the historic tall ship the Schooner Zodiac. This year we will be offering three different departures of our quintessential Zodiac sailing experience. Passengers and Crew will join together to raise the largest main sail on the west coast of the United States and set out to explore this scenic corner of the Pacific Northwest!

The cruise is structured so passengers have the option of learning sailing stations, the basics of navigating, steering the ship and standing watch. By the end of the trip passengers can feel that they are a part of the crew.

Each night will be spent riding gently at anchor in a secluded inlet of the San Juan Islands and each day will be filled with adventures of interactive sailing, exploring the islands by hiking or paddling a kayak along the shoreline.

  • Three days of sailing throughout the beautiful San Juan Islands
  • An evenings at anchor to explore secluded inlets by kayak or hiking
  • All meals served from the ship’s galley by our professional chef
  • An afternoon shore visits to islands only accessible by private charter

Part of the adventure of sailing is that wind and tide may alter your course. For this reason the Zodiac may deviate from it’s intended route at the captain’s discretion. Bearing this in mind, the captain and crew will always endeavor to give passengers the most incredible experience possible. Already booked and wondering what to pack? See our handy packing list.

“Our 3-day trip through the San Juan islands was absolutely fantastic! Considering the very brisk winds on day 1, and also how important passenger involvement is for hoisting and dousing the enormous sails, I was extremely impressed with how much we actually sailed (rather than motoring). This is no boring leisure cruise — it is an adventure!’
